Diploma in  Information Communication Technology (ICT)

About this course.

This programme is intends to equip Learners with a wide range of software, technical and technological ICT skills required in the industry at diploma level. Upon Completion of this course, the student is expected to develop and apply ICT solutions to solve practical business issues. This programme empowers Learners to use skills gained in the course to  manage and support business related to computer systems. This course also bridges the existing knowledge gap in organizational data storage, business continuity, disaster recovery, security, business analytics and optimization and enterprise architecture.

A candidate must satisfy any of the following minimum requirements:


  1. Be a holder of the South Sudanese Secondary Certificate with a minimum of 60% or equivalent


  1. Be a holder of IGCSE Division III


  1. Be a holder of a certificate with a credit pass from a recognize institution


  1. Be a holder of a professional Certificate in a relevant discipline from the institution recognized by the Ramciel Institute of Technology


  1. Be a holder of any other qualification accepted by the Ramciel Institute of Technology as equivalent to any of the above.


Compulsory Subjects
English marks percentage
In addition, a pass in FIVE (5) other selected subjects. (Excluding Life Orientation)


At least 50% in THREE fundamental subjects including English,


At least 60% in overall selected subjects

Selection Procedure:

Meeting the minimum entry requirements does not automatically guarantee acceptance. It depends on the number of clusters of subjects.

A points system is used for admission to the Diploma in Business Information Technology.

Applicants are selected in order of merit, based on the subject list above, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Applicants who meet the minimum requirements but whose overall points rating could put them at risk could still be placed on the extended curriculum programme as they would be considered underprepared and at risk of not coping with the demands of the regular programme.

Through a purposeful and structured set of learning experiences, the extended curriculum programme will provide these students with the academic foundations necessary to succeed in the regular programme.
